FAQ
Questions about the market.
Plain answers about anonymity, membership, escrow and how the floor works.
What is Westcroft & Rowe?
A private marketplace for buyers and sellers of online businesses and websites. Sellers set the ask. Buyers inspect the file. Completion runs through Escrow.com. Westcroft & Rowe does not value businesses, recommend deals or hold acquisition funds.
Who can browse?
Anyone can browse anonymised Deal Flow without an account. Business identity and the full acquisition memorandum stay withheld until you hold an active membership.
Why are business identities hidden?
Public browsing intentionally uses deal references instead of names and domains so sellers can list without broadcasting identity, and so membership gates access to disclosed files.
What does membership unlock?
One membership opens every file on the floor: business name and domain where product rules allow, the acquisition memorandum, watchlist tools, and the ability to contact sellers and bid. Buyers and sellers pay the same. There is no commission at completion on the platform.
Do buyers and sellers both need membership?
Yes. Listing with disclosure, inspecting full files, bidding and messaging use the same membership entitlement.
Does Westcroft & Rowe hold transaction funds?
No. Acquisition funds between buyers and sellers are handled by Escrow.com. Westcroft & Rowe is not an escrow agent and does not custody those funds.
How are payments handled?
Membership is a recurring £19 per month subscription processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe. Membership access starts only after Stripe-confirmed subscription state is recorded for your account.
How is escrow handled?
When a deal reaches the escrow stage, parties open an Escrow.com transaction through the platform workflow. Escrow.com remains authoritative for funding and escrow status. You are also bound by Escrow.com’s own terms.
Are listing figures independently verified?
Not by default. Seller-reported figures are the seller’s own and have not been checked by Westcroft & Rowe. Only figures explicitly marked verified carry that label, with the meaning defined by the product (for example a connected source where that applies). Verification is not a guarantee of future performance.
What do provenance labels mean?
Provenance labels describe how a figure entered the file. Reported means the seller entered it. Verified means it meets the product’s verified criteria. Always read the label on the specific figure; do not assume every number on a memorandum is verified.
How do I list a business?
Create an account, take out membership, then use the seller listing flow to prepare the file and publish under a deal reference. Public Deal Flow shows the anonymised listing; identity stays in the member memorandum.
How do I cancel membership?
Open Membership while signed in and use Manage billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal, where you can cancel or update payment details. Access after cancellation follows the resulting Stripe subscription status recorded for your account.
What happens to my information?

How do I contact Westcroft & Rowe?
